WTF??? This is all meaningless because they're still relying ENTIRELY on "pre-debate" polls.

I still predict Kerry will be ahead by 5% or more by the middle of this week - and will have an electoral vote advantage too.

GWBush had DAMN well better have one hellova October Surprise up his sleeve or else it's "Hello President Kerry"

Rasmussen, which as of today includes only post-debate data, still has Bush maintaining a three point lead. Rasmussen has a known tendency to underestimate the Republican perecentages by about 3-5%, so the Bush lead is actually fairly solid. Rasmussen also showed three states that moved from Kerry to toss-up over the weekend. Kerry is at his lowest Electoral vote total since Rasmussen has been tracking it.

If you put ANY stock into the Newsweek poll, you have been sadly misled.

AP Democrats Fear 'October Surprise'

WASHINGTON - In the presidential campaign's closing weeks, Democrats are bracing for an "October Surprise," an event so dramatic it could influence the election's outcome. The capture of Osama bin Laden (news - web sites), for instance.

It's part of American political lore: the party out of power worries about a last-minute surprise engineered by the party in power. Now that October has arrived and the election is just a month away, speculation is rife among Democrats that President Bush (news - web sites) and political mastermind Karl Rove have some tricks up their sleeves.

"I assume that it will be something," said House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi of California. "We have to be ready for that."

Calm down if you look at the new Gallup poll taken AFTER the debate Bush still leads by 4 % among likely voters. It could be Kerry has just reinforced his base vote and most of his gain are in say CA, NY, NJ ect…

Who'd have thought that they would have elected a (R) governor.  He even ran against a Kennedy.

But according to polls by the LA Times, NY Times, CNN, Bush and Kerry are running neck & neck. Hmmm... I wonder a bit of the old.... "a thumb on the scale" scam?

You may as well throw out that guy's "projection".  His method is useless wanking.  I still expect Bush to win, though.
