took the jeep out to play in an area that was under 8 feet of flood water 2 days ago.

things were going GREAT..... doing what the jeep does..   having fun,

then its started to rain these things..

seems they were clinging on to the mud I was slinging.

the next 100 yrds was this..   its was pretty neat .
must of had more then 20 on the jeep at one point.
they were about 5 - 6 inches long ...

was having too much fun to take alot of pics

only one jeep porn shot.

Good god man - its a crawdad.

You better google what a possum (or opossum) is so you don't look like a fool the next time one of them show up.

looks like a crawdad, but it's huge.  Do you live near a nuclear power plant or something?

When I was a kid we found lots of crawdads that size in the Carson River. I was really amazed at how small the ones in Louisiana were when I visited.

They are common in the creeks around here in NC but the biggest I recall was only a few inches long. Pinch pretty good

its part of the "Trinty River project" area..    its sur-real playing in a flood plain in full view of Downtown Dallas.

these are old pics  but this is how it looks when it not flooded and when it floods..

And i was there less then 48 hours after all that water made its way down the river   ....  and a good time was  had by all .

bump to make the 9-5 ers hungry in time for lunch

Edit

I was thinking.   Hell I might start fishing that area.   Then I figured wait. If they get that size doesn't that mean nothing is trying to eat them ?
