Your 20" Bushy post-ban HBAR looks just like mine. 'Cept mine's an A2.
I have been wringing my hands for years about dumping it for an M-4gery. But I've finally made peace with myself and it. It's staying. Not worth it to take the $$$ loss for trading or selling to get a carbine. And also, a slight loss of velocity with the shorter barrel. Yeah... not much... may be negligible. But since I'm used to the power and size of my .308, might as well keep the bigger AR. I still may get a carbine eventually, but not going to let-go of my full-size to do it. DON'T SELL!!! |

Why bother? $65 to thread the barrel and another $10 for a birdcage. And who really needs a bayo lug? Neither my AR, nor my M1A has a lug and I could care less. I plan to shoot them. If I need a spear I'll grab a spear...

You are keeping the toes though, right
 Dont sweat it, I had a bushy in the same config as that, traded it for XD40 tactical and cash after the ban cause I waited too long to try to get my hands on a no ban barrel. I didnt think far enough ahead to have a bushy 16" noban M4 barrel on hand when the ban expired. |

Gun's are just tools - but to some here they are toys. Realistically, you only need one gun. Ideally a handgun and a rifle.
Don't let the gear queers eat you alive because you don't have 12 identical, consecutive serial number, Colt Mfg. AR's in your closet. Edited to add - I don't miss the 20 or more rifles/pistols and shotguns I've sold over time. Less crap to get stolen if I'm not around - and I don't have credit card gun debt like most arfcomers. Oh and newsflash - you can't take your guns with you when you die. This may come as a shock. Enjoy what you do have but don't get obsessive. |
