Woohoo! Congrats! Wow, big boy! If this is your first, make a note of this date, cuz you'll always want to remember exactly when it was that your life became so much more enriched than you ever thought possible. That, and when it was that sleep became such a luxury! [:D]

You don't need sleep anyway. It's wayyyyy overrated. Congrats!!!! Mine was heavier and longer.... but need an emergency C-section to get him out of there! What the hell.... Welcome to the exclusive club formally known as "daddys". You will are about to enter a world where actions and words mean.... well.... they mean what actions and words should mean. Being a Parent, a shooter, a social animal, and a "dude". I can only say... "sleep". Any chance you get, any time when you're able. Really... sleep. Did I mention.... Get some SLEEP!!

If he finds out later in life that you didnt take him to see Santa when he was ~10 days old, you are gonna be in deep trouble. Of course, what do you get a 10 day old for christmas? Kharn

CONGRATS man, there is nothing as challenging or fullfilling as children. We just had our first daughter a week ago, Rachel, and she's as cute as a button. I've got two little boys but she's already got me wrapped round her tiny little fingers. Enjoy your new baby, the first few days will be some of the most magical and memorable of your life. matt crashburnrepeat

CONGRATS!!!!!!! I also must second the motion to bring her food!!! You will surely win favor with the wife for this one! Echo 6 and i had our 2nd son on October 20th and our first one is 21 months old They are GREAT! I still want another. Is mom nursing? If so let me offer this advice... It is REALLY hard the first 2 weeks but once you get past that it gets better I promise. Also make sure she can sleep when the baby does during the first weeks....It makes a big difference.
