That IS impressive. Old sling shots weren't that accurate. I wonder how much better he would be with one of those wrist rockets.

I wanted one of those pretty bad. My dad ended up helping me make one. I still have it and like it - except that extra wrist support sure did make it more accurate. The one other gripe is there is a big knot in one of the branches of the Y - I hope that doesn't break some time.

Anyway - I still like it. He engineered getting the surgical tubing in place and I whittled down the bark.

Geez.  Note to self:  don't irritate strange old dudes in the middle of nowhere with slingshots.

I'm thinking that if he had a wrist rocket he could be a sniper.

I've seen the vid before, the guy is awesome.

one of the elders from whom i assimilated my "manhood" skills when i was a twerp hunted with a slingshot, he was a nam vet but you'd never guess it by lookin at him, looked like any other toothless bubba. I learned tracking, camo, survival mountaineering, a little caving, field expedient construction of assorted tools, traps n structures, knifery (the tool of an idiot he said) and rifle marksmanship......but never learned to use the slingshot. He could shoot the same as rufus there. He refused to teach me the slingshot, said i'd embarrass him and dad wouldn't pay him for wasting my time. Was gonna get me into archery but then disappeared/died off.
He always kept a ball of string, his slingshot, his knife, and a pocket full of marbles on him.

This guy is the equivalent of Jelly Bryce, but with a sling shot instead of a six gun.   Phenomenal eyesight.
