Edwards is credited by many obstetricians as being soley responsible for the rise in the number of (unnecessary) C-sections performed in this country as part of protection against fetal distress/cerebral palsy lawsuits. The junk science he used in the cerebral palsy cases has since been refuted, but he keeps the millions of dollars and my wife gets to keep her scar.
If you want to know why healthcare costs are up in this country, he's a big reason why. Shitbag. |

that was basically what I said when I read it....some of the ob suits were just risks of pregnancy/delivery... My oldest had her cord around her neck...no one knew til she was born.... and then I have to wonder how many of those suits involved the birth plans that were anti section or anti intervention to start with .....

Suit against trucking company by estate of man killed by company driver, arguing that company acted recklessly in paying drivers by the mile, thereby encouraging unsafe conduct.
