With all the sadness going on right now, a little hummingbird is a refreshing sight.

Hard to snap those little guys

We have a few of the little cuties flying around! Still, whenever he calls me for a "hummer," I never quite know what he is trying to say...

I've got 2 pairs that keep buzzing my wife's hanging pots, but I haven't caught them on camera yet. Nice shot.

Give both, in a quasi-arfcom spirit, and just to cover all your bases.

I'm sure CnL won't complain if you assume wrong.

I love that dual-purpose smiley.

Those are great pics! We've got hummingbirds everywhere around here, several varieties. They like the wild honeysuckle that grows all over our yard as well as my neighbor's flowers, so they hang around a lot. We are just about to do a unit study on hummingbirds (my son is 5 and thinks birds are cooler than dinosaurs). I was searching around for cool info the other day, and there are a few sites out there that are willing to pay for good hummingbird pics, so you might want to look for them. Those are better than a lot of the ones I saw on the hummingbird sites.
