...and he looked upon the ordering page and it was good, for the greatest battle implement was once again available for mail order
so unless you're a dirty fucking commie, go get yourself a man's rifle. or if you already have one, go get her a friend http://thecmp.org/cmp_sales/rifle_sales/m1-garand/ |

I'd say this is anyones last chance to get a nice garand at a low price.

I just got service and field grade winchesters and like the field grade more.
If you don't have several already, [do it gif] |

Question. Do the adjustable gas screws for these things actually work? The only place I have found ammo for my garands is CMP and I've run out. I don't shoot them often, but it would be nice to be able to impulse-buy some commercial 30.06 at my LGS and shoot it. But that only is feasable if those adjustable gas screws actually work.
So do they? |

Which would be a good choice as my first?
My gun money is spent but this seems to be too good of a deal to pass up. |

Whu do you think this? View Quote They have a ton of parts and is one reason they have started offering classes to assemble your own. There are still a few (very few) countries that have lend-lease rifles (from what I've been told), but nothing in great quantity and no idea when they will be returned to the US. I've been telling friends for that past few years that they better get on now if they want one at a 'reasonable' price. Most folks don't listen until it is too late. |

I would think the Philipino and Korean rifles would help that continue though. (If the Korean ones don't glow in the dark.) View Quote |

Tempted to post naked women in this thread to get it locked before I go home tonight

tempting...i already have a dozen or so, and all I really want is a nice L.E.A.D rebuild. doubt i'll get one from this batch though
|

I'll go be poor somewhere else. I wish they had a payment plan type thing since it takes months to get your rifle anyway.

These aren't in the e-store? Or, the e-store navigation is garbage.

Nah, e-store is for ammo, accessories, etc. not guns. You have to do an order form and meet eligibility requirements to order. http://thecmp.org/cmp_sales/rifle_sales/ordering-information/ View Quote |

Bottom of page 2A. Does the ordering form need to be notarized?

You guys po-poohing the ordering process, yes its tedious but you are getting the rifle shipped to your door and don't have to pay a transfer fee. On the other hand, the best way to get one is to go to the North or South store and pick one out but then you'll have to pay sales tax.

Yes, needs to be notarized if you have not ordered from them before in the last 3 years (and therefore already have a notarized application already on file). See page 6 of the non-fillable order form: http://thecmp.org/wp-content/uploads/1orderform.pdf?ver=20170210 View Quote |

I have a SA and an H&R already. I would love to get a Win and a tractor gun but the odds of getting either through CMP are slim.
