its a S&W DA .32 revolver 1889-1906. frend of mine was trying out his new metal detector and we came across it.. of course i let him keep it as it was his find and i doubt that it would be worth all that much in the condition it was in



the bullets above it were from some of my stuff i had shot in the past

thought that was pretty damn cool

no we looked and dug around but couldnt find anything else,. would have been cool to have found a more complete weapon

edit to add just talked to him again.. he says it looks like the gun was deliberately broken.. makes me wonder if i should be looking for human remains or something... maybe solve some 100 year ld murder mystery..yeah right

Have him use this method to clean it up.

I use it in restoring old farm equipment.

We dug out our pond and found a Mule shoe that had been at the bottom for 70 years. It pretty much restored it to about 80%, even the nails in the shoe. It might make it into something he could at least hang on the wall.
