Is the Panther still sitting out on Ardennes? |
I think there are three panthers that I know of.... one at brigade, one at battalion, and one outside my company. One of those must be it
I don't think he has an account here. I know CAL and a couple of others do - but not many. |
Hey 82nd.....Did you jump into Panama or Grenada? You are a combat vet correct? Pete |
Panama. |
Ahh quarry heights, JOTC, Balboa, Colon all such lovely places .
I don't want to bug you but, what was that like? I mean you already have to go into combat, but you had tp PARACHUTE into combat!! |
It was exciting. Scared before you go; eager while you're there. |
I wish I could have been there Thank you for your service. |
It was entirely my honor to serve. No thanks needed but they're certainly appreciated. |
I'm here! (CAL) Now Eat S.F. (If you can guess what that means ) |
Yeah. I saw the pic of you holding that sign in the "reunions and gatherings" forum. |
I was only in division for a blink. Long story short, almost as quick as I got my patches sewn on my BDUs at division replacement and got to 82nd Sig, it ended up they were full for my MOS, then I got orders cut to go to the (then) new EFOG-M unit in division, but apparently they didn't have my MOS on their MTOE, so I went down the street to 35th Sig for the rest of my military career. |
Commo puke! j/k - thanks for your service, CAL. |
Looks like in August I'll be moved to second brigade.
Division is doing the whole RSTA thing... my battalion is getting all split up to form the RSTA squadrons or whatever for second and third brigade. No one seems to know WTF is going on... all we know is that RSTA stands for..haha. |
Does that make you a 5 Jump chump? |
Second Brigade is not that bad (85-87 and 89-90) I just hope that this RSTA re-org does not turn out to be another "brilliant" idea, like AOE, Army 21, etc., that gets DX-ed for the "next big thing". |
Nah. I only have one jump. All the rest were practice. |
1st Squad

In that case....... NO, I'm NOT a 5 jump chump, but you're a FOG so you probably forgot the question before you finished asking it. *EDITED BY ME FOR CLARITY |
