I know Wisconsin was/is considering making it legal to hunt feral cats.

I've been looking around to find out if killing a feral cat is considered
poaching, "animal abuse", or what.

Is it actually illegal?

Growing up on a farm, we shot feral cats all the time.
I'm pretty sure that even behind todays standards, we had the law behind us
because they would often try to prey on our baby ducks that would wander out of the pen.
I believe the way the laws are/were written, we could pretty much kill anything that was
attacking livestock.
