Kinda neat as long as I don't have to carry it.

I'd think long and hard about one if I was a dangerous game hunter and had the cash.

Why?

It seems like it would make a good gun for fellows who have the privilege and the means to hunt dangerous game in Africa. You have the speedy second follow up shot afforded by a double, and you can put two more rounds in the pipe much faster than a traditional double rifle.

One of those in .450 Winchester Magnum or a similar cartridge would be just the ticket for Cape Buffalo or Elephant.

For the guy who can't decide if he'd rather have a double or a bolt on safari.

If I ever have more money than I know what to do with, I'm getting one.

If I had the disposable income, I'd be all over that. I could imagine the looks at the target range. and

That gun has been around for some time. I believe they are in the $40k plus price range.

Did Ruger announce this at shotshow?

I honestly expected it to cost more considering what goes into regulating the POI on a double rifle and then throwing in the complex bolt action setup.

I have a friend who builds doubles. The regulating is apparently the tough part!

Make it a straight pull action for even more improved badassery

Having semi auto rifles that have never had a non-magazine related issue, I fail to see the utility. I'd still love to own a nice double though.

I've never traveled outside the US with a firearm, but I would imagine it's easier to travel abroad with a double or a bolt action than it is with a semi-auto. Also, I would wonder about the game laws restricting semis. Not to mention that the guys who go over there by and large insist on controlled round feed bolt actions, and shun push feed.

Want.

Double barrel 10ga pump would also be nice... for small game and home defense.
