Has anyone seen this?

I rented it because it had Nicole Kidman, some other known actors and it was on the Employee reccomendation wall.

After I saw the set, I almost turned it off... avante guarde can be stupid or interesting, I stayed a bit. After the first 45 minutes to an hour of boredom I should've turned it off, but I had to stay the course.
Then the movie started to f*** my brain sideways.

I can't say I liked it. Just like you can't say you "liked" Schindler's List. But I did appreciate the movie. I felt like I needed a shower after watching it. One of those scalding, sterilizing showers where you use a brillo pad to scrub the skin raw so that you can start over with clean skin.

What is it about? I could never figure that out. Is it about the skateboard manufacturers?

I think the movie described above is Dogville.

This fiilm should be on the Unwatchable list. Set on a bare stage with chalk outlines for buildings it's a movie of a play that's about nothing so much as ... ACTING! And long, too.
