And just like that, a little faith in humanity has been restored.

I saw the piece Sunday. That guy's capacity for forgiveness is much greater than mine. I too am glad people like him exist.

I'd probably forgive him as well.

Right after beat the ever loving shit out of him.

Dude gets 4 years and the cop gets 1 and a half.

Forgiveness is a powerful thing.  Still infuriating the innocent man served time.

Yeah, that's a little WTF. I'm curious what drug charge would warrant that. Around here if you served 4 years state time for something then your original sentence was likely 12 years. I'm assuming the cop served federal time, so nearly his full sentence. All just a guess though.

Yeah, better man than me, fuck that crooked piece of shit he should be in jail for life.

Jameel is a bigger man than I.

I don't think I could forgive that.

Still, the ability to forgive is liberating. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to forgive a woman who had done me wrong. It felt like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders after I stopped stewing about it everyday. Now I only remember the good times we had together.

Eventually, that crooked cop was caught, and served a year and a half for falsifying many police reports, planting drugs and stealing. Of course McGee was exonerated, but he still spent four years in prison for a crime he didn't commit.

1 year?  Sounds like the shithead possibly ruined multiple lives.

As much as I know I've grown, I haven't grown that much.

I still blame my not going home back east on airplane ticket prices.

Last year, by sheer coincidence, they both ended up at a faith-based employment agency Mosaic, where they now work side by side in the same café. And it was in those cramped quarters that the bad cop and the wrongfully accused had no choice but to have it out.

McGee went on to CBS News about his Christian faith, and his hope for a kinder mankind. He wants to be an example -- so now he and Collins give speeches together about the importance of forgiveness and redemption.

I admire it,I really do. However,my capacity to forgive someone who decided to ruin my life for the hell of it is not so strong.

Four years for drugs vs. a year and a half for major corruption.  People wonder why cops are so hated.

He's a better man than I.

Set me up and put me in prison for 4 years while you get 1.5 for doing it......

You better run and hide, because I'm not letting that one go.  Ever.

If asshat cop did 5-10 in genpop that might satisfy me.  But 1.5?  Not a chance.

I'd be tempted to feed his ass through a burr grinder, piece by piece from the bottom up. Roast the bits and make coppacino, force him to drink it until his heart exploded or bled out. Make a weekend of it. Cocksucker.

Maybe if he did 20 for my 4 I could be cool about it, but a year and a half is bullshit.  I would not let that go.
