I saw the piece Sunday. That guy's capacity for forgiveness is much greater than mine. I too am glad people like him exist.

Jameel is a bigger man than I.
I don't think I could forgive that. Still, the ability to forgive is liberating. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to forgive a woman who had done me wrong. It felt like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders after I stopped stewing about it everyday. Now I only remember the good times we had together. |

Last year, by sheer coincidence, they both ended up at a faith-based employment agency Mosaic, where they now work side by side in the same café. And it was in those cramped quarters that the bad cop and the wrongfully accused had no choice but to have it out. McGee went on to CBS News about his Christian faith, and his hope for a kinder mankind. He wants to be an example -- so now he and Collins give speeches together about the importance of forgiveness and redemption. |
