My Mustang is a hardtop, my fathers is a convertible. This is a topic of endless discussion between us.

How are you using it?

Daily driver or is this a friday night car?

You should not buy a mustang, let's just leave it at that, mmkay?

I personally would go for hard top.

Less parts to break

I personally never cared for convertibles.

If you want one though, get it!

Re-sale value on the convertible is going to be higher if you keep it in good shape.

Garage kept or out in the elements?

I have a convertible.  They're fun cars.

You have a Mustang, and you want another?  Wonder how many Glocks you own

Buy a Jeep or some other 4wd and enjoy the rest of the planet as well.

If you do, dont go black leather.  I thought id love mine but it was always to hot or to cold.    Now I stick to hard top A/C cars.

VERT!

Hardtop.

Will never own a vert. I are too ugly for a ragtop.
Not to mention the whole driving around in a tent thing.

You getting any kind of performance model or just a regular Mustang?

I had an '03 Cobra Vert and it was fun but sold it and got a coupe.
The amount of time with top down was minimal. Rare nice days here.
I imagine way more ultra humid miserable hot weather there. That would be the coin I would flip. ComfortAC/top-down-sticky.

I say convertible...

Just because I've always wanted a drop top... I'd like a '60s era Cadillac though.

I wouldn't be without at least one convertible in the stable, personally, esp. here in AL... very conducive weather for much of the year and plenty of pretty/fun places to get out and just drive.

On a Mustang?  Hard top all day every day.  If I want a drop-top I'd either get an actual roadster.

Yes on the drop-top.

I don't have a Mustang (wish I did) but I love my rag-top roadster (Solstice).

Get whatever will make you the most happy. Hard top with a sunroof could be a good compromise if you really cant decide.

I've had lots of convertibles, Porsche 911, BMW 325i, Triumph TR250, Austin Healey 3000, Fiat 124. Top was always down except on the hottest days. In the winter you turn on the heat to keep your feet warm. Hard to live without one.

Had a Mustang convertible, had a Camaro with t-tops.  Will never buy anything but a fixed roof from now on.  Convertible was hot in the summer (black top), and cold in the winter.  No sound insolation, so you get to hear everyone else's radio and yammering about even with the windows up.  Both will leak, especially during bad storms.  If kept long enough, you will eventually have to replace the top, even with proper care.  No longer a fan.

That really is truth!!!

Targa and T-tops, are basically the best of both worlds combined!

Doubt they're available in a new mustang though.

I know the '16 ZO6 is available in a targa configuration... You should probably just go with that OP!!!
