Ironic that you would post that.

Although I am not sure that admitting to PAST activity (for which statues of limitation have expired) would necessarily fall under that part of the CoC.

In case the thread doesn't get locked.

My best friend and I once drove incredibly, stinking, blind drunk, once.  We were at a party in the officer's mess at a different regiment (but my buddy's family had a farm house down close to the base).  So at 3:00 AM, after hours and hours of hard drinking, we both got in his shitty little italian car and he proceeded to drive the couple of miles to his house.

Nobody else was in danger - since we never saw another car - so the only people that could have been killed were the two of us.

... and quite frankly, I am AMAZED that we didn't die that night.  First, we almost crashed into the base gate.  Luckily he slammed on his brakes, and then we both bellowed at the guards who were frantically trying to open the gate for the two first lieutenants.  Then we drove off and almost hit a big tree in front of the gate.

Then my genius friend decided that driving through the forest would be a better idea than the roads - since the police would undoubtedly beat the crap out of two drunk drivers late at night.  Then he decided that the forest is so beautiful at night, that it is better enjoyed without the headlights on!

So there we were, roaring through a forest in pitch black, on narrow dirt trails, blind stinking drunk.

I still cannot understand how we didn't crash.

Driving drunk is bad, mmkay?   Even though I wasn't driving, I was as much to blame as him.     Sometimes I look back at my life and can't believe how stupid I was when I was young.

I care not to admit crimes of which I have not yet been caught.

And of the ones I have been caught doing, I am embarassed to reveal.
Not that I am sorry for committing the crime, but sorry I got caught.

Worst crime yet, shooting up the class room with a paint ball marker in 8'th grade. I hated that teacher and had enough to do something about it.

I can honestly say that the worst crime I have commited (and gotten caught for) is driving at night without my headlights on.  Of course, I've done things that are possibly illegal, such as making certain very burny compounds, etc.

2 DUIs

Resisting arrest (non related)

Assault x 4

Domestic Violence (dropped to assault in a plea)

Domestic II (again, dropped, as it had nothing to do wih my house)

Assault on a police officer

Assault on a public servant

I was a mean little SOB back when.  Since then, I have grown up and now thank the officers who got me help.  Yes, they had to arrest me, but I found the Lord and found myself while I sat there wondering what I had done to my life.  Best medicine for me, personally.

Since then (many a year ago) been on the right side of the law, helping others to NOT make the same mistakes.

YMMV, and if you have anything to say to my admission, PM me.  Anyone can post to this, but the real man is not afraid to learn from their past mistakes.  If you want to berate me, I will be more than happy to tell you how Jesus changed my life - but in IM.

I once found the keys to the golf ball machine at the driving range.  A friend and I hit balls for free for a while before we eventually got caught.  Scary part was that someone else had been stealing money from the cash register, and they thought that was us too.  Luckily we sort of knew the guy wprking there and he believed us that we never touched the register, and he just told us never to come back instead of calling the police.

That's all I care to admit to today.

ETA: I was a sophomore in high school at the time.

Speeding in excess

CCW in Wisconsin (a misdemeanor) while passing out literature for GW Bush (for about a month - I was out late, in areas that could go from 'good' to 'bad' by the block)...

Somewhere around 135-140...

Fortunately I did NOT get caught in either case... I was driving on a country road for #2, and a PPK is easy to hide under the amount of stuff you wear outside in WI during campaign season...

If we want to get technical i've comitted the felony of carrying a concealed weapon without a permit multiple times.  I'm 20 and can't get a permit yet but carry around the house.  Technically taking out the trash or getting something from my car parked on the street is a felony.
