so there is a car in the parking lot outside, and the alarm has been going off for 2 hours. im fucking sick of it. im ready to call the cops and ask them to look up the owner and pay them a visit.

I just got off work and really want to sleep.

I have no idea who owns the car but if it doesn't stop soon im going to give that alarm a reason to go off.

should I invite the man into someone else's life or just wait it out?

ok mini rant over.

also fuck obama

Fuck yeah.  Tell 'em (the cops) that the alarm is going off and you're concerned someone may be trying to break into it.  That's the whole point of a car alarm, isn't it?

I want a battery that lets a car alarm go off for two hours.

Have you spoken to the neighbors yourself? Is their house in close proximity to their garage where they might reasonably know that their car alarm is even going off?
Not enough info to advise you. if you haven't spoken to them yourself yet, try that route first.

I would call. I would not go door to door.

What about the apt manager? Is there an office that you can call? I know that at the complexes I have lived in we had to register our car with management. They should have apt number.

just call the police...at least they may disconnect the cables and you wont have to hear it anymore.

Then I guess your option is to call LEOs or management.

cops..they are there for a reason, if its been going on for 2+ hrs..does that qualify as disturbing the peace?
or they can at least check to see if was an attempted crime.

"Man, that car alarm is annoying and I'm tired.  I know what'll fix it, I'll post on the Internet!"

Did you update your Facebook status to show how frustrated you are, OP?  Maybe you could Tweet your friends and tell them?

Arnold just picked the front end of the car up, and the level sensor determined the car was being towed and shut itself off.  So go lift it.
