ok...basically I just posted this to brag.  I bought these 2 surefire lights off a guy today for a total of 200 bucks.  the M961 is pretty much new in the box with all accessories.

I know, this should be in the flashlight forum.....but it's slow anywhere else but here.

question:  what's the model number of the gray one with the IR filter that I have on the carbine?  and how do I remove the pigtails?  I don't need them right now till I add a VFG.  the 20" is going to be my half assed copy of a USMC M16A4.  still need a grip-pod.

Surefire Millennium M951XM07
To remove the pressure switch, just pull on the connector, then cover the empty socket with the dust cover that come attached to the light.

You got BOTH for $200?

Were they stolen?

They don't sell for much on the second hand market anymore.  If you have a NIB one for sale, expect to get less than 50% of MSRP for it.

I think the units the OP bought are incandesant bulbs, which have much lower battery life compared to the newer LED lights. For example, the M961 in the OP is 225 lumens with 20 minutes of battery life or 120 lumens for 1 hour. The newer Surefire LED lights with 200 lumens have a battery life of 2 hours and are smaller.
