I never really liked glocks but I wanted a hi cap 9mm its a pretty nice weapon really light very concealable.

and cheap 420 bucks with 3 mags!

I hope to get a nice paddle holster and some hi caps plus a 33rd for fun.

Anyone carry one of these little guys?

kinda small for a duty pistol though, can't amagine why a cop would go with the 19, maybe detective?

Oh yeah one other thing the sites look kinda crappy but they are great for a point and shoot self defense gun.

I could see how this little piece could really turn the tides on some armed crooks.

Yes, I've carried a G19 for the better part of 10 years. In my opinion, its not too pretty, its not a tack driver but there arent too many other pistols I'd rather have in back-alley shoot out. I've shot about three 1000-round cases of +P+ ammo meant for subguns through it plus a few other cases of standard hollow-point rounds.

The G19 w/hi-caps mags are a hard combination to beat, specially with Cor-Bon 115-grain or Mag-Safe rounds. If you add a +2 magazine base, you have 17 rounds or firepower. Like I said, hard to beat in a back-alley shootout.

Never get rid of this gun, you will only find yourself buying another G19 six months later because few other pistols do the same job as well.

Trust me

The 19 has been my carry gun for 10 years now .... hard to beat ....

There's gonna be a classic "Guns gonna blow up in your hand cuz it's a Glock" I carry a Glock and have for years. It hasn't blown up yet...

I was issued a second generation G19 about 3 months ago. I like it and it shoots well.

I never liked Glocks before and used to harass the Glock owners. Then I shot a G17.

Ok, I'm a convert.

I even bought a G26 and carry it every day.

I have the original 10 round mag, a 10 plus 2 mag, 15 round G19 mags, 15 plus 2 round G19 mag, G17 mags and a G18 31 round mag. The 9mm Glocks are very versatile, cheep to shoot along with being fun to shoot.

They just ordered .40 cal. Glock 22's to issue. Suppose to be getting one next month. I'm going to miss my issue G19 but am looking forward to the G22.

If I could only have ONE gun, it would be the GLOCK 19. Light, concealable, high ammo capacity, easy to shoot under stress, and obscenely reliable. It is the number one choice of armed professionals who can choose any weapon they want.

Had a first gen Glock 19 I got new in 1989. Had it for a couple years, then sold it when I moved overseas. Still kick myself for that.

Finally bought another one from Glockmeister at a local gunshow...$432 brand new (standard sights). I am in love again. :)

Right. That's why marine Det-1 went with the 1911.....

Its very, very simple, dont shoot unjacketed rounds in Glocks...thats all you need to know.

I carried one for a couple years but I carry a 1911 now. I still love my Glock and would never sell it, you will love yours as well.

Nah...most of those comments come in on .40 Glock threads...and unfortunately, some of them are justified.

I traded a pre-ban MAC-11 five years ago for a 2nd gen G19 with 3 hi-cap mags.

I've been carrying this gun ever since. I've also put over 10,000 rounds of my reloads thru her.

My only pistol is a gen 3 G19 and it's been a flawless gun until this weekend when it started nose-diving hollowpoints into the feed ramp with both my magazines. Strange because I've shot over 800 HP rounds without one problem. I've received some suggestions on possible fixes that I hope work because I really love this gun.

I can bang steel equally well with a 26 or 19, as with the 17 at 25 yards. I have the trifecta. All of these guns are very accurate, so don't make the mistake that one pointed at you needs to be at 5 feet for a lethal hit.

I regularly carry a Glock 30, now. As far as accurate, I wouldn't expect the 19 to hit the 75 yard silhouette targets as regularly as with the 21, but I know I could hit them a few times. I know, I've seen me do it.

G19 for carry here too. I've always been worried about carrying with one in the hole, but with a good holster there's nothing to worry about except human error. Still considering having a manual safety installed, however. Other than that, can't beat 15 rnds of 127gr +p+ Winchester Rangers. I tried putting in +2 extensions, but found it to be more apt to printing.

The only other compact I've considered is a USP 45c, but the 8rnd capacity turns me off.

15 +1 for the Glock 19! I too carried one as a duty weapon.

My attraction was the fact that it was (may still be...) the lightest 9mm that can hold a full 15+1 of ammo. That is the classic trade off... capacity, weight....

The Glock 19 is one of the better carry guns you can get yer holster on! Congrats!

It is my carry gun. I don't love it, but I can't find anything that meets my needs better.

I like my G19.

If it was a 45 I'd like it more.

I have had several Glocks.

Currently, am very satisfied with a Glock 26.

Perfect for concealed carry for me.

Why not? I shoot my Glock 20 (10mm) in IPSC, several thousand rounds of un-jacketed bullets, no failures. I used to use my Glock 22 (40 S&W) with lead bullets also.... performed flawlessly and was extremely accurate with those loads.

I own 2... I like it because of it's size/weight. It's large enough to meet duty requirements, but small enough to conceal fairly easy.

All too true. I sold my first and eventually bought another one. Now I have a 23 and a 19. Love them both, perfect for a CCW piece.
