local CBS affiliate in south texas just said that one of the things the AWB banned was the use/ownership of barrel shrouds/handguards on ar 15's and all variants...thank god the ban sunsetted...my hands were gettin burnt!!

Just thought ya'll should hear another example of the ignorant shit we have to put up with from the media...AK

Handguards and shrouds were banned on pistols by the ban.  Thus in this case it's more of a mistake of the uninformed than an outright lie.
