You can turn the ring by hand and tap it snug with a punch and a hammer.
A wrench is nice, but not required. |

you dont need an M4 tool, a CAR tool will work fine

I use a peice of leather and some serious channel locks.
Make sure the nut is facing the right direction.......  |

good I have channel locks and the oil filter wrench, im sure I can improvise...

Do you guys use loctite on the ring? I have factory gun and you can see the loctite on the threads under the ring.
