i'm getting the fiance new uggs for Xmas.
Usually these are $180, this site has them down to $118.
Ugg boots for $118
Does "if it sounds too good to be true..." apply here?

Yes, too good to be true.

WHOIS shows that website is registered in China.  Avoid at all costs!

They are probably legit. My aunt worked at one of their stores and the employees could get them for $50 or so depending on the model. I bought my mom and sister a coupl pairs each when I heard that.

We got the kid some Uggs from a random Chinese website –– super discount price –– a month or two later the website was gone.

Boots looked as legit as any other pair though, and the kid has been trying to wear them out for a year now.

Probably the same as the asian "Magpul iPhone rubber case" that's on my iphone right now... ;-)

Uggs lead to all kinds of foot pain because they have no support.

I know they have bad foot support, they aren't for me and my opinion in the matter is a little less than 0%

I'm putting it down as being either decent quality clones or semi-legit product from a side door of the chinese factory.

Just looking at that site and not checking, I would say it is a foreign site.  Too many misspelled words and sentences that don't make sense.

No. That is not a real deal.

UGG has VERY aggressive MAP pricing and distribution controls.

I got burned on this same deal last year. The boots that were sold were very nice, but they were NOT UGGs.

You can do a search on "fake UGGs" or "How to recognize a fake UGG".

These sites are all over. The only way to be sure it to go to an authorized retailer. Don't buy from a discount online retailer that you can't talk to a live person.

NOT real UGGs. Once again. NOT real UGGs.
