I bought some grips off ebay recently and Im not sure if these are original factory or after market?

the seller said the grips are

Original Colt I frame medallion rubber grips

inside the grips they have a maker marking that says:

Vintage Industries Florida

anybody know if the original grips are marked Vintage Industries Florida inside?

or should they be marked Pachmayr ? did Vintage Industries make Colt Factory medallion rubber grips? or are they after market?

Vintage Industries made reproductions grips so I suspect these would be reproductions.

Colt used to buy these rubber grips from Pachmayr, but in the later 1990's, after Pachmayr's patents had ended, Colt contracted Vintage to make exact copies for them at a cheaper price.

I "think" these Vintage-made grips don't have the steel liner inside the grip that Pachmayr used.

Colt also had an exact copy of the Pachmayr "Compac" grip made for their late 1990's stainless steel small revolvers like the DS-II and Magnum Carry.

With that said, these ARE genuine Colt grips, made FOR Colt by Vintage instead of Pachmayr.
