its a great RTS game that is even more tactically played than world in conflict and has a huge online competitive game community.

World in Conflict Modern Warfare Mod version was awesome before they messed up the artillery and made it too interdependent....

Anyway, I could NOT get into the Wargame series as the tutorial would not allow me to defeat the enemies due to their much greater detection range.  It looks like a fun game but apparently not for me.

Is this similar to world in conflict?

I played the original world in conflict many years ago when it came out and I thought it was fun.

I play.

Anyone thinking of getting into it understand this.  If you play multiplayer people can quit in the first minute of the game and you will be left alone.  Or in something like a 10v10 or 6v6 you will be left undermanned trying to play against more people who can micromanage better than you.  That part of the game makes me absolutely livid mad some times.  I started playing air land battle and when the new one came out I didn't get it right away.

Deck building is very important and if you are using the wrong deck for the wrong type of game you will be screwed.  There are lots of good guides and ideas for decks but in reality it comes down to how you end up playing them to determine if it is good or not.

The game has a steep learning curve and can likely make you very mad.  Take a look at single player first and get an idea of what some units are before you jump into multiplayer based on the fact that you may be screwing over other players if you jump into it with zero idea of what you are doing.

I picked this up over the weekend and played 4 or 5 games.

It is similar to the first one that I played back in 2012 but with a few differences.

Couple things:

1. What do you do with your troop transports after you unload them?  Often times I end up sending them to the rear of the map.  I guess there could come a time when you want the inf to load back up into a truck / helicopter but mine don't live that long:)

2. If you tell your artillery to fire at a position, will they keep doing that over and over again until you tell them to stop or will they just do one salvo?

3. How do you queue up movement commands and also use "fast move" ?  Hold down shift and then press ; ?  Sometimes I'd like for the unit to fast move up 3/4 of the way to the front then get offroad after that.

Cheap game where the AI ALWAYS knows where you are while you suffer from fog of war.  World in Conflict is superior to this series.    I really wanted to like this game and made a mistake when I bought the sequel during a Steam sale.
