seriously, SF used to be full of useful how-to's –– and now, it's just useless miss cleos.

Something's ALWAYS coming. The only thing you have to worry about is whether it has YOUR name on it.

Or, you could look at it this way(from Murphy's Laws of Combat):
It's not the bullet with your name on it that you need to worry about. It's the one addressed TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN.

Ok, I'm not trying to be an asshole but, it seems that most of the posts on SF are the same anymore. Yes, we know firearms prices/price gouging have gone up because of the election. Yes, the economy has seen better days, to say the least. Yes, the next four years will be interesting. Being constantly reminded of these things by every post in SF is just flat-out depressing. I am not saying to ingnore it and hope it goes away. I'm just saying that dwelling on it will just cause unnessesary stress. Stressing over won't do a damn thing. All we can do is prepare and take care of our own.

This not directed at you lance. It is just my stupid little rant.

We think something's coming or want to be prepared in case something's coming and that's why we're in the SF to begin with in general.

Keep in mind that we are seeing/will be seeing a large influx of new lurkers and participants. People are getting more and more nervous, and thinking about preparedness. It was obvious by the thread title what this was going to be about. Dude's getting "that feeling", and comes to a place where other people who get "that feeling" come to talk preparedness. There's no need to be rude.

yup. finals. It's a pretty big SHTF event for me. Comes twice a year. No matter how much I prep, it hits the fan
