maybe this should be in exchange, but thoght I would ask.
not with a CAR type brake way at the end of a 16" bbl, but a 16" bbl wit the CAR brake extending back -so the BBl does not look a mile long...

I lie the looks of this with the 203 cut bbl and new- soon to be legal collapsible stock.

I've seen at various gun shows, there are flash hiders that are approximately the lenght of the 4.5" muzzel brakes of the original XM177-type but it has the threads for attaching to the barrel near the front rather than at the rear, this gives the shorty appear while actually having a shorty BBL. If I recall price was about $15ea.

E-mail Jeff @ "CMMG".  They are a vendor here and will do exactly want you want.  They have a thread going in AR parts NEW in the EE about uppers.  They show two uppers which are NFA CAR type with moderators, but they will do a custom non-NFA for you if you ask them.  Public opinion seems to be they do high quality work.  I just E-mailed them and asked for exactly what you describe.  For a nominal charge they'll hook you right up.  I plan on doing the same thing.
