the reason this question even came up for me is because prior to my owning an ipod, i owned a cheapo mp3 player which really sucks. the music has some kind of flutter at the begining of a song, there is an occasional beep during playback, etc., etc., etc,. It's really not that great.

my ipod, however, is the cats ass. and it has a hard drive.

so. if i opt for their new flashdrive model, will i get a crappy product like my non hard drive mp3 player?
