Say there was a gun that was used in a self-defense shooting. Would said gun be any more valuble to you if it had a police report with the synopsis of the shooting and included the paperwork/evidence tags with serial numbers and case numbers? Or is it still just a plain old gun? Opinions?

Unless used in "high profile" SD case, prob same value.

Modern times It would not matter to me.

If it was old war era and had a documented body on it maybe.

But there are a many crap guns in museums because of who owned them and how they were used.

How much did Jack Ruby's .38 go for?

Just a used gun, priced accordingly, unless it had historical significance.

I'm sure the pistol that smoked Ferdinand would fetch a few bucks.
