Anyone know who said it? One of the great episodes of English History?

What are the odds that the Kenyan would say the same to our enemies. Of course, these words were delivered on the battlefield and there is Zero (pardon the pun) chance of the Kenyan ever finding himself there.

Harold Godwinson (or Harold II) (Old English: Harold Gōdwines sunu) (c. 1022 – 14 October 1066) was the last Anglo-Saxon King of England.[1] Harold reigned from 5 January 1066, until his death at the Battle of Hastings on 14 October of that same year, fighting the Norman invaders led by William the Conqueror. Harold is one of only three Kings of England to have died in warfare, alongside Richard the Lionheart and Richard III.

HarOld Godwinson was the King of England. His brother Tosti (or Tostig) had rebelled and allied himself to HarAld Hardrada, King of Norway. Harold rushed an army to Stamford Bridge where Tosti and Harald were collecting tribute. They were sunbathing etc and left their heavy arms behind. They did array for battle and a man rode up to Tosti and Harald of Norway. He offered terms. Tosti could lay down arms and would receive the Earldom of Nurthumberland. Tosti asked "and what of my ally, Harald Hardrada?" The man replied "We grant him six feet of ground or as much more as he needs, as he is taller than most men"
Tosti and Harald declined and the rider returned to the Anglo-Saxon lines.

Harald asked Tosti who the man was as he was impressive. Tosti replied that it was his brother Harold Godwinson, the King of England.

Without reading the thread, it is retarded. They don't bury you standing up. If you are extremely tall, you make the whole wider maybe, but not deeper.

Uhhhhhhh. RIF I believe the six feet he was referring to is the length of the hole and not the depth.
