That really sucks. Did you get it at Harbor Freight? They usually have a good return/exchange program.

Probably not a good idea to have a leaky transfer tank under a truck cap.

LOL made in Amerika is the new made in China. I haven't found a single thing made in Amerika that is worth a fuck. Sure, most Chinese shit sucks, but everything made in Amerika has the union label and the quality is still a step below Kyber Pass Afghans.

Made in modern America = Chinese parts assembled by Mexicans.

Did you secure it and install it properly or just throw it in there?

Sure, most Chinese shit sucks, but everything made in Amerika has the union label and the quality is still a step below Kyber Pass Afghans. View Quote Nobody is going to pay money for a real product made in the US unless they're really fucking serious about buying good stuff. Inflation is a bitch. People don't understand what quality costs anymore and it's really hard to find a good company making good shit. Look at a simple item, let's say it's $30 now. Fifteen years ago that item might have been $20. Here is the thing though; they're not the same item. The new one is shit, and getting the same quality that you got a decade and a half ago is going to cost you $40-50. We've gone nearly three decades now with more and more quality goods being replaced by utter crap made overseas, while the government plays games with the Consumer Price Index. Filling store shelves with cheap shit helped the feds cover the real consequences of printing money like idiots. So now people don't really understand the value of a dollar - which is a hell of a lot less than it used to be. But we're not done here yet. It's time to talk about business culture in the US. It's more acceptable than ever to have "ripping people off" be your main business model. Many people are just plain rotten fucks. American goods sold for what the uninformed think are fair prices aren't just crap because they're cutting corners, they're also crap because people suck. |

There is so much WTF in that pic I don't know where to start.

even the chinese have fucked their own stuff up.
compare bottle rockets from the 70s-80s to todays crap. |

You sure it's leaking from the bracket? Those caps weep fuel when they get too hot sometimes.

Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Looks like a sloppy weld on that bracket. The mounting bracket, with no bolt in it, not secured to the bed? Installed in America too. I'd be more concerned about the loose Hi-Lift jack busting through my back window in an accident. |

also, your camping spot has wifi, but no local gas stations that would allow you to fill up so you could avoid traveling with a fuel bomb in the enclosed bed of your truck?

Transfer Flow for the win. Not union made and mine have gone 15 years trouble free. But they do cost more...

Bunch of rocket surgeons in GD
It is diesel. I researched a lot before hand to make sure it was safe to install under a canopy. It is fine. The reason it is not bolted down is because I wanted to do a trip with it to make sure it is set up how I wanted. You know, in case something didn't work, or it leaked... That is why I only put enough fuel in it to test the system. Now I do not have to spend half a day getting it unbolted to get the warranty work done. I will do the exact same thing the next time also, test it out, if all is good then I will drill holes in my truck to mount it down. It is Aluminum. Go back to blasting away at something you know nothing about |

A few extra Scepter fuel cans would have been cheaper, more portable, and much safer.

Loose shit in the back of a truck, especially when its full of flammable liquid is not really that difficult to understand Mr space traveler. Then again your concerned whether your camping spot has wifi or not.
