of how much I would love to see Obama's visage planted on Xerxes' body. I can't think of a more appropriate analogy. I'm watching the movie and working on a car, the U.S. is Sparta, and Democrats and welfare mooches are the Savage Horde of Xerxes. Maybe we can have teh immortals depicted as ACORN, the horrible Mutant fighters can be Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Barney Frank and their ILK!!!! That turncoat Senator that Betrays Sparta and Fucked over Leonidas's wife can be Arlen Spector!!! Fill in any P.O.S. senaturds or Congresscritters as you see fit. Something like that.... I'm no good a Photochop, and I bet all of Arf, and the free world, would love to see these shits portrayed exactly as they really are!!!!

I don't think that it's an apt analogy. For one...they are a small minority of 545 people...and we number in the 10's of millions. They just have the ATTITUDE of Xerxes. For now, we have the advantage in guns, ammo, and the will to fight for our freedom. That is...unless UFC is on, or it's the finals for "American Idol", or a badass "Spetsnatz + Navy SEALS vs Spartans + Green Berets" tag team "who would win event" on the History channel.

You do realize that the reason the Spartans trained as they did was because the ruling oligarchy (the Spartans) had to control a vast number of captive Greeks who were held in slavery, right?
Many Greeks detested the Spartans for keeping other Greeks in bondage. FWIW, the Spartans were finally conquered by an army of Free Greeks. |
