Being a NYer who watched the events unfold when it happened back in NY...

While I'm glad most people will never forget, there's no need to re-enact things.

Simply my take.  *shrug*
I hope others enjoy the movie more than I ever could....

I think it was a good way to show people what they went through up there. The people on that flight were some of the first heros of the war on terror. The footage of the attacks should be shown daily to remind everyone how vulnerable we really are.

I thought it was pretty good- all the way up until they got to the Springsteen thing, and then I couldn't stand listening to it anymore.

Steve Berkowitz from AskJeeves.com was at the end of it.  I know him and his family personally

Hard not to cry during the family interviews.  My heart was racing the whole time I watched.

I liked it except all the inserts asking people to donate for the monument. Im not about do donate 1 red cent for a monument that is more to glorify muslims than honor the heroes of flight 93, turned it off before springstein for obvious reasons

I was watching it while holding a loaded Glock .40.  I had to be careful not to shoot the television.

There were others that died that day aside from the people on flight 93 and we cannot forget them either

Read through this thread, particularly the pictures at the top of page 1, the bottom of page 3, and the middle of page 4:

ETA - One of the two sponsors of the memorial design competition is the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation that funds grants to "expand domestic understanding of and an appreciation for Arab culture and the Muslim faith in the United States."   In general, I don't have a problem with trying to bridge good Muslims with good Americans, but Islamic symbolism does not belong in memorials to 9/11.

I thought it was pretty well done.  Closely followed what was written right afterward in "Among The Heroes" by Jere Longman.

I wouldn't refer to people that fought back as "sheeple".  If not for their actions the plane would have struck a major target in D.C. with more loss of life.

No Mrs. Todd Beamer?  Interesting!
