We just got an 8 week old female Boxer puppy and she needs a name.

My duck dog (female Black Lab) is named "Dixie's Rebel Yell" - Dixie for short.

Obviously gun names, patriotic names, etc are all acceptable.

PS...If you're a Boxer owner, feel free to post pics and tips. She is not our first puppy, but she is our first Boxer. We've had Beagles, Labs and Great Danes in the past.

Wait to see what her diet is like. I've thought about renaming mine Airwick, because all you hear is "pphhffssssttt!" and the room gets freshened.

That aside, enjoy her. My boy boxer is the best dog I have ever had.

If it's anything like mine, I suggest Hoover. He ingests anything not nailed down. Giant bags of Halloween Kit-Kats, 4 dozen chocolate truffles, small birds in flight, diapers, etc. The last time he went to the vet for stomach pumping (a not infrequent event), the vet told us she had surgically removed a used tampon from another boxer's intestines a few hours earlier.

He's very bright, affectionate, and has great depth perception despite the lazy eye. He also has a cork-sniffing pedigree, but they didn't selectively breed for a discriminating palate.
