The next shoot at the Hun's Farm will be...... Friday, October 11, through Sunday, October 13, 2002! These dates are pretty fixed since they coincide with the Great Kahuna's Ritual Trip to Dallas to see our beloved Cowboys play! BTW, for you newbies, the 'Great Kahuna' is none other than Goatboy! Start planning now! Cancel engagements, weddings, funerals, wakes, feast days, high holy days, bar exams, proctology exams, breast exams (unless we're talking 'second dates' or dining at Hooters), and plan to be there! I'm planning on about 5,000 in attendance, so make your plans now![:D] Now, I need to start recruiting a Hun Farm Ground Crew and a Hun Farm Volunteer Fire Department again. This time, my main man, Tate, will be in charge of recruiting for the Hun Farm Ground Crew! [:D] Also, I need some volunteers for the Hun Farm Water & Sewage Project! All volunteers will be amply rewarded from the Hun's Footlocker of Heavenly Delights! Eric The(OK,SoMaybeNot5,000,ButMoreThan100!)Hun[>]:)]

I have it on the very best authority that wiggy and bro are true Texans, who simply happen to reside in New Mexico and Pennsylvania, respectively, at the present moment! Stuff like that can change, but being a true Texan cannot! Thank you, again, my friend![:D] Eric The(TwoDown,4,998ToGo!)Hun[>]:)]

I'm new around here, so be gentle. What's this shoot all about? I am in the DFW area every month to see my sister and my best friend of 27 years. We usually hit the trails or a motocross track with our KTM's but this sounds kind of fun. Is it open for anybody, what kind of guns are allowed? I have noticed that several of you in the area get together once in a while, I would like to hang with you guys once in awhile. It would be refreshing to be around others with the same illness as me.

It's marked and I am counting the Days. The 9th is our 8th wedding anniversary and the wifes ready to come down to have her honeymoon.[:D] Being that I am a Fire Capt. I don't really have to do what brouhaha says do I????[:D]

Is it special to get a double post?? As for wiggy and bro, I knew they were special, now I know why....fullclip

Then the Hun Farm Shoots are the treatment for the illness that affects us all! Any legal weapon is permitted, fired safely with good fire discipline and range etiquette. Good times is what these getogethers are all about! Mark your calendar accordingly. Look for gun shows at the Mesquite Big Town location or the Dallas Market Hall location - if there's a gun show in Dallas-Fort Worth, you can book it that the AR15.com crew is going to be there, and going out for lunch! Next show - Mesquite, July 13 and 14th! Eric The(Hospitable)Hun[>]:)]

Thanks EricTheHunn, I have been planning to be in Irving on that week end but the company I work for just folded up last week. I am not sure if I can afford it yet. Wel, after thinking I might just come on down anyway.

OK since I have made certain plans before that were written in stone, but that stone cracked and crumbled. So this time I will just say yes I will be there......AWWW HELL!!! Its Goatboy for goodness sakes!! I won't let anything come in the way. Heck I will even put in for vaca on the 11th just so I can ride with someone, just in case my car takes a dump again. Speaking of rides....Jarhead_22?, TheRedGoat?, AROCK?, ETH?, anyone....anyone....Bueller? Any trips to The Lodge planned?!?!? Maybe thurs night hmmmmm?!?! I won't drive then either. The last time Goatboy was here, I drove to the Lodge and hydroplaned my ass of the road. My car still has the dent on the quarter panel from that event. Never did make it to the Lodge. Oh BTW...Having served in the Navy as an airdale, I am used to FOD watches. Therefore I volunteer for the ground crew.

Nothing else on the calendar at the moment, so unless the boss is traveling, I am in. I really wanted to make the gathering this past weekend, but spent the weekend in training for the new job responsibilities. I hope y'all had a blast.

My sorry job and the lowlifes I work with precluded me from attending last weekends fun. But with this much advance notice I will be able to ensure my attendance at the Oct. festivities.
Link Posted: 7/2/2002 12:39:09 AM EST
I will be their, God willing and the creeks don't rise. I will have some more (new) guns to bring and I am counting on winning the pistol competition this time because I will be sure to have some high cap mags with me. I will bring some pumkins to shoot (so bring your hollow points) I just love watching orange slime flying up in the air. I can't wait.. I can't wait... I can't wait. I'll be their early and I'll leave late.. The weather aught to be awsome... HUN, you're all right, I don't care what "they" say about lawyers. See Ya in Oct. john232

Kudos to the Hun for opening up his property for a shoot. Its tough finding a place to shoot these days. Empty a coupla 30's for me, people.

I'll be there, and since I left early, I officially volunteer myself as part of the clean up crew. However, you guys will understand that I'm not putting any garbage bags in my car, mmkay. [:D] TXLEWIS oh yeah Frisco, sit here for a sec.

230 miles, or 3 and a half hours, as the Hun [s]flys[/s] drives! I figure that since we had 31 members present for this last weekend shoot, there will be at least 100 present for this next one! Cool weather and an appearance by Goatboy will crank up the numbers considerably. So, I doubt that I will be able to leave these Merry Pranksters alone long enough to make the Lodge, or anything along those lines. Eric The(GetThereEarly,LeavingLate)Hun[>]:)]

Having never been to one of these, where is this exactly? If all goes to plan, the Army releases me from active duty on 1 Oct, and I'm taking 30 days terminal leave to deprogram before returning to the real world. Getting together with a bunch of real shooters is just the deprogramming I need.
