Night sights or not, they look like crap on that gun. Since it's never going to be shot, why not foo foo them and the mag floor plate a little.

That actually looks sweet. Not for the bling-bling plating ... but the engraving is totally badass. I'd never shoot the damned thing either. Hell, I'd keep it locked up in a plexiglass case.
Never for 10 grand though. I'm having a hard enough time saving up for a downpayment on a home. I could never justify blowing 10k on a gun like that. |

I've never liked gold on a gun. But the engraving looks great to me.
Clint Smith has an engraved Thunder Ranch Special that he carries and shoots every day. It is beautiful. It is hard not to cringe when Clint demonstrates how to use a fence post to rack back the slide single handed. I like the look of the new S&W 1911. My friend just bought one and I look forward to shooting it. |
