You forgot "Yes, but it makes no difference".
Put me down for that. |

Quoted: You forgot "Yes, but it makes no difference". Put me down for that. View Quote I thought that was a given. [;)] I don't think this poll is going to work - if they won't vote for president, they probably won't vote on this poll. Damn. |

Yes, I registered at 18. I have never missed a primary, local referendum, or an election.
If you don't vote, then don't complain about about the political results... If you do vote, feel free to complain about those idiots someone else voted into office! [;)] |

I'm registered. I vote. I write my congressmen. I call. I bitch. I spread the word. I inform others.
It's important to vote, but that's only the beginning of the process. |
I registered in high school my senior. It was a proud moment for me. I voted for Robert Dole. After he was defeated I was crushed that a man whose character was constantly in question with numerous accusations (mostly true) would win a good majority of the voters. I lost a little respect for the majority when this happened.

View Quote I vote and I activly campaign against anti-gun candidates, but I'm a very small minority. On the many campaigns that I participated in, many many times I was the ONLY CRPA/NRA there. I participated in the referendum to collect signatures to overturn SB15 the new AW ban in Calif., a few gunners were outright hostile. Many don't want to sign the petition because they didn't want to be on a list. And of course there were a few who didn't register to vote because they didn't want to do jury duty. Well, I got news for those folks, Calif. does not select prespective jurors from the voter rolls anymore, they are from DMV records. |
I vote in every election. I think in the locals and primaries your vote is much more important.
The presedential vote, because of the Electoral college is actually one of the most worthless votes. I don't believe the stats that say gun owners don't vote. I bet they vote more often than the general public. |
aye, I vote, to many men fought and died for that right not to.

When you vote, you hire a person to represent you. And like a good boss, you need to check up on your employee occasionally. Let him know what is expected of him. Call him in on the carpet when he screws up. Thank him for a job well done. In answer of the original questions. Yes and all of the time. |
I'll vote for the 6th option... "I'm too young, and will vote once I turn 18"
Yes I vote!
I take my wife and kids and explain to the kids the basic electoral process. My wife a good one - her question to me is always, "who is anti-abortion and Pro-Gun"? I tell her and we vote the same line. Afterward we explain to the kids why we voted for who we did. That's how you raise patriots. |
Yep, always. I don't care if it's to vote in local, state or national races, I am there. Thousands upon thousands have fought and died to make sure I have that right, so it would be a shame not to exercise that freedom. Afterall, it just takes a few minutes of your time.

I've always been of the opinion that only 50% of the people who are eligible to register to vote will actually register and in Virginia, the voter registrar closes the books 30 days before each election so they can verify the accuracy of the list of voters. This stops a few more people, the ones that can't plan past tomorrow, from being able to vote. Of that 50% only 1/2 will bother to vote. Their reasons? too busy, forgot, working, no difference between the candidates,my vote doesn't count and many more. A lot of hunters I know don't vote and aren't concerned about our "black" rifles being outlawed, they'll never take their shotguns or rifles. My first election was when I voted for George Wallace for President in 1968 and have voted in every local, state and national election since then. I've won a few and lost a few, but always put my money and my vote where my mouth was.

Yes, national, state and local. Especially school board since they touch more of my tax dollar than anyone.
Are you registed to Vote? Do you?
Yes, yes. Early and often! |
Yes since I was 18 and havent missed a election thanks to absantee ballots for the few I would have missed.
Yes I vote in every election right down to the local level.
It amazes me how many people don't vote, and yet they are the ones griping. Pisses me off to no end.......... |
Absolut: Graham got my vote, too!
The first vote I cast was for Ronald Reagan. |
I'm registered and I ALWAYS vote, even in the local primary run off for "chief bottle washer" type elections. I read the candidates statements, and take the trouble to find out where they stand on issues.
Either ARFCOMMER's are much better than average gun owners, or non-voters won't vote in this poll.
Still, looks good overall. |
Registered and do vote. I have been known to skip a primary or two, but only if it looks like my guy is gonna win regardless of my vote. I also frequently contact my Senators and Congressmen.

Yes and I always vote in all elections, local and federal. I have to do an absentee ballot cause always gone on election day but never miss an election.
I registered my senior year of high school (1979) and have voted in every election except one since then.
Yes and yes. Unfortunately, me and my east side brethren get our votes cancelled by the west siders. Eastern Washington, Eastern Oregon and Northern Idaho should form to make the 51st State.

yes and yes. i write/email/call.
my senators are liberal party line voting dem's, but I contact them anyway. The jury pool in FL is from driver lisc info, not voter reg. I keep reminding the 'don't want to register' whiners that jury duty was not a valid excuse and does not apply now. |

Andy Capp(from the funny papers) said that if you don't vote, you've got no right to "bitch" for the next four years...
