Following on the recent TFL site close, Shooters.Com is shutting it's doors as well.

This has been a very rough year for many of us. Even before September 11th, the IT community, as well as many others, saw their jobs evaporating right in front of their eyes. As it stands now, internet companies, boards, hosting companies, and even large corporations, seem to be downsizing technical people and cutting all costs. Many of those outside of IT have also been hit hard. It's simply been a rough 2 years.
It's a shame to lose these valuable resources, but it makes you stop and wonder at what else is coming. Since taking a larger part of site operations, we've been able to cover our costs. (Especially with most additions being built in house!) The traffic on the site continues to grow and while we hope to add another network line to accommodate the communities needs, we're slaves to how the community holds up.
I expect to have another great year with you all and continue to make an impact in the pro-firearm movement. If things are a little bit slow for a year, then so be it. Weathering out the storm is far better than abandoning ship! [;)]
Now I'm off to bed to hope that Santa brings me a new job, a million dollars, or maybe just some staff members who don't post topics about Camel Toe. [rolleyes] [=D]
