Letter To The Editor

This is a wake up call for freedom lovers.    Our republic now faces
a great threat to its very existence, not from foreign terrorist but
from industrialists entrenched at the highest level of our national
government.    Our elders may have forgotten and our history deprived
youth never learned that it was the industrialists in Germany and Italy
that bank rolled the ascension to dictatorship of Hitler and Mussolini
and their wars of aggression.    This was done through instilling fear
of communism in the hearts of their people and by appealing to patriotic
pride.    To instill fear Hitler had the government assembly building
in Berlin torched, then blamed it on the communists as an act of terrorism.
Bush, the hand picked puppet of our industrialists, didn't have to falsely
generate fear among the populace or fuel our patriotic fervor.    He had
it handed to him by the events of 9/11 caused by Islamic terrorists.
Since the flames of fear have been fanned by periodic chicken little
scares most probable orchestrated by Al Qaeda sources smart enough to
sit back and watch us destroy our own freedoms for freedom is anathema
to Islamic culture.    Puppet Bush's request to congress for dictatorial
powers discloses his master's plot as follows:
By having power to reallocate funds, the Justice Department could
be built up to a Gestapo with "detainee"  camps for suspected citizens
located all over our country.    To fuel industry's greed he could create
wars by beefing up CIA activities in targeted countries.
He could use the power to call up State National Guards to suppress
anti-government demonstrations, strikes or picketing and other forms
of free expression.
His request to make informers of one million citizens is the most
anti-American in concept.    This is how Hitler controlled the Germans,
some of whom sent family members to concentration camps.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt knew how fear could seize minds when
in the great depression he phrased wisdom for the ages, "We have nothing
to fear but fear itself".    Do not let the industrial profiteers frighten
freedom out of this bastion of democracy.    The terrorist will then
be the victors.

An interesting perspective from someone who's "been there and done that".

Funny (not) how history has that habit of repeating itself.  [50]
