I picked up a REALLY cheap digital video camera and, depending on the lighting conditions, the picture is horrible (off color, too dark, etc).

Can anyone recommend a shareware or freeware program that will allow me to adjustthe picture quality of an .avi file?

Thanks.

i use magic edit pro 10 just cuz its easy.. it does every thing in avi till you export it. there might be a free one out there but i dont know cuz i bought mine( it was cheep).. adobe (movie editor) requires a rocketry degree to operate..

but for what you said you needed that has it.. good luck

use magic, export it, then filter it thu windows movie maker in WMwmv export format so your movie isint to big of a file and has a clear(er) picture..

I found that I already have a program that does what I need...ACDSee 9.0 Photo Manager. Once I open an .avi file, there's an auto adjust button. Click on it and the color levels adjust to normal. Then you can save it to an .mpg and it'll save the color changes. WORKS GREAT!!
