RANT ON:

I just have to blow off steam about my next door neighbor. Let me discribe her(no I would not hit this if I was 10 years dead), She works in the movie industry(enough said) and bought the house next door between my friends and me.

She had not been in the place 6 months when she started to make demands on my friends and me to make changes to our properties that she did not like(lots a luck, no neighborhood association). She did not like our landscaping(none), stuff in our drive ways, dogs(more on this in a moment) and stuff in general. She proceeded to but in.

She demanded my friend keep their dalmation quite. The dog goes 'woof' once and the neighbor from hell has their number on speeddail telling them shut the dog up. After 10:30 she has a point but between 8am and 10:30 tuff luck.

She has left me a lone for now after I told her to F*** off when she complained about my BBQ grill in the drive way. But she is really going after my friend. She has banded with a stuck up broad across the street an new neighbors(more in a moment) across the street to harrass my friends.

SHE is a REAL B***H.

Now the new neighbors across the street are a peice of work. I have not said anything to them besides hello. They move in and the husband proceeds to put up a fence on their neighbors propety following the old property line. Now the property line has drifted about two feet in 50 years and has been known by previous owners. It was not disclosed at the sale and a law suit was filed by their heighbor. The new people lost and blaim my friends for warning the newbies neighbor(they live 2 blocks over but own this house) about the fence. They are making noises and legal threats against my friends about the warning they gave(free legal about property lines).

Oh well just had to blow off steam.

My family is now considering that move to the country more seriously(live in central austin and taxes are killing us. With average selling time measured in minutes.......you get the drift.

Just do stuff to egg her on. Leave stuff out. Mabye get a old crappy car for 100-200 dollars, strip it apart and put it on blocks so she can see it. If there is no association then their is nothing she can do about it. She will eventually confront you. Tell her that this isnt hollywood and she should take her stuck-up bitch ass back to california iff she doesnt like they things are there. After all, you were there first and your not going to change your ways. If that doesnt work, well i dunno. Burn down her house.

Shit!...my neighbors moved in and parked an RV, dead PU truck, and a Dodge Neon, none of which have moved since they came.....The truck's bed is FULL of junk.......they piled shit up behind their garage.....regular ol' Beverly Hillbillies....................................but on the plus side........................their college age daughter has nice (@)(@).......WOOT!

Mine- grill, smoker, dutch oven cooking setup and an apartment size stove(free to anyone in austin, works never cooked on), new 16ft x 10ft workroom/gunsmith building, 2005 Bright red ram hemi all under covered awnings.

friends- grill, patio furniture and basket ball hoop.(actually less stuff then mine).

I'd start off with a little bit of tasteless landscaping on your part... like a concrete statue fountain of somebody pissing on something. Get a smoker to put on your driveway, too. Make sure your friend knows how to have this woman's phone number blocked, and recommend that he get some chihuahuas or other equally yappy beasts.

If all of that fails, plant some "herbal landscaping" behind her garage and she'll be gone before you know it!

You might flame me for this, but I said almost the exact same things to my neighbor. The difference was that I offered to help him clean-up his yard, and I found a neighbor that was willing to pay for the landscaping if I did it. I put my time and sweat where my mouth was. If she wants you to change your landscaping, then feel free to ask her to pay or help pay for it. Work with her.

Then ask her to buy the patio blocks so you can build a patio behind your house or whatever. Don't just get mad. Try to work with her and try to get something out of her. Then you'll both be happy. Her attitude and your attitude just succeed in making each other mad. Most people just want a little respect and then they'll return the favor. Of course if she's not willing to work with you, then don't feel bad about treating her the same way in return.z

funny how people think they have the perfect yard (you) compared to her. Yes, she is a miserable complaining hoar, but is she right? I try real hard not to make my yard look like a sharthole, and both neighbors could care less about theirs. Shit laying all over, never mow, various animal cages, just overall mess. I dont say boo to them and I think they got the hint when I put up the fence.

Whether I move in next to a nice house or a shit hole, I cant say much as it was here before I got here, but it does not mean that the neighbor may be in the wrong.

about the "quiet" dog... my old neighhbors had two dogs...for the most part semi-quiet when they were around other than attacking each other and growling

they would leave and leave all their windows open with the dogs inside...barked and whined LOUD ALL F-ing DAY long (right out the window as they were perched on it)be it sat/sun or any day. it was very annoying. I nicley mentioned that the dogs were doing this only to be told that they are quiet when they are there and dont bother anyone when they are in the house.

They finally moved out thank god-just wondering who I will get next...

It is my honest opinion that if you live in the city, you are bound by some unwritten rule that you take care of your house, keep in good repair, keep the lawn reasonalby mowed, not have trash all over (front or back yard) and not have annoying animals-notice the word annoying- I like dogs, but when they come over and crap in my yard and bark all day, i draw a line.

Actually I have a back patio that is inclosed. tried BBQ on it didn't like smoke inhalation. Other then the stove I have been tring to give away the setup is nice and not visiable from the street with vehicles parked in the drive way. Expanding the patio is not an option due to the water garden that has been built in the back yard(hate grass mowing, so only have to deal with front yard) and takes up the whole yard(water lilys, gold fish, and japaneese Koi. Sold one koi and bought a kimber pistol to give idea on value of the garden. oh she complained about hearing the running water in the back yard that comes from the circulation system,bubbling brook setup). The lots are 50ft wide x 100ft deep.

Now I am considering putting a fountain in the front yard, old toilet bowl with a statue of a man peeing in it maybe
