Most likely. The '94 AWB was not extended.

Remember this, USA Att. Gen. Ashcroft to sent a personal letter NRA's Wayne LaPierre that he emphazing the administration's support for the 2nd Amend. Would LaPierre get a letter like this from Janet "Burn them out" Reno? And VP Dick Chaney was the keynote speaker at the NRA's convention this year. I'm pretty sure all of this was done at the behest of GWB Jr. Things ain't going to get any better than this.

I would expect to see an announcement soon.

It will be *very* interesting to see what the Kerry camp does. I'm REALLY hoping he does or says something stupid that will continue the meltdown.

He did nothing but make statements supporting the ban and then sat back and watched witch way the politicial winds were blowing. The general public did not make a big deal out of it sunseting, so he did nothing. If the polls would have shown anything different it would have pushed for and signed. Thats what politicians do for a living. Now you guys are trying to make it out to be some "Great Strategy" like your aware of the "Secret Policys" of our president. Give me a break. He just got lucky the AWB did not turn out to be a politicial issue this election. Trust me, I'm glad it didn't.

I agree with Da Vinger. The President's own spokeman, ol' Scotty McCllellan (sp?) has repeatedly stated that the President SUPPORT's REAUTHORIZATION OF THE BAN.
