No shit... Love his music, but don't care for his mouth... Saw him live a few times... He did some pinko song( from his new catalog) in '07 here in Dallas on the "Dark Side" Anniversary tour or something, while scolding us about the Mideast, and I will never forget how he got booed pretty good from the crowd... Damn good musician, but you know the rest...

ETA.. The Division Bell, and everything for that matter after Waters departed was great. Gilmour , Wright, and Mason knew what they were doing.

I have seen Pink Floyd with and without Roger Waters, and I have seen Waters solo. Roger Waters is no Pink Floyd.

Roger Waters was the hard edge of Pink Floyd. Love his music, hate his politics.

David Gilmour is a great talent, but more in the sense of a tool to be used. Lacks direction without Waters.

Gilmour, and it's not even close.

He plays with a level of artistry that is beyond almost all musicians. Dave Mustaine once said "David Gilmour can do more with one note than most other guitar players can do with the whole fretboard," and I think he's spot on.

For me, Pink Floyd was mostly the combination of David Gilmour and the late Richard Wright.
