Could you imagine that "Banshee" screaming overhead? Those things already look like they should fall out of the sky when you see them circling on approach. I can't imagine what it'd look like when they fly as slow as they can...

I got one of those with my Boeing Points, WW. It's not all it's cracked up to be. Noisey when it reaches near mach, cheap upholstery, and the head is all the way in the back. Bitch to parallel park. Oh yeah, my ammo budget went up exponentially with each cannon.

I think the C-130 is really the ideal platform for a gunship. Low stall speed, long loiter time, sufficiently high ceiling, etc. I don't see the advantage of using a jet for this purpose, other than to maybe get there faster. Overall, I am not impressed.

Achmed, you also overlooked the wing reconfig to a high-wing. (That particular model of 747 appears to be the stretch body, from the longer hump on the top of the fuselage near the front)

LOL, not me. The through fuselage structure for the low wings was left intact. If it was real, they would have taken it off the aircraft. [:D]
