... I have to resign to the fact that he may very well become this great country’s next President.  As much as it makes me cringe, I still question how such a cluster-fuck-of-a- President can work in my (read as ours) favor. Are there any?

... Can’t think of many advantages. I am however a survivor, much like the majority of our board members here.

... What can we/I do to continue the effort (legally) in promoting conservative values, RKBA rights and the fundamentals of the US Constitution?

I agree if the unthinkable should happen. Kerry would be as big a disaster to the Nation as carter was. I wouldn't be surprized at all if the klingons are the ones behind the torpedoing of skerry. It's obvious they do not want kerry to win since hellary would be really getting old by 2008/2012. It's amazing to me how quick the devil's imps age. The spelling is deliberate folks.

What should we do about a possible "President John Kerry"?

Fight NOW, like there's no tomorrow!

John Kerry committed treason in 1971 - while still an officer the U.S. Naval Reserve, Kerry circumvented official government and military channels and MET IN PRIVATE WITH ENEMY LEADERS DURING A TIME OF WAR to coordinate efforts to get America to "immediately and unilaterally" withdraw all military forces from that war.

BTW... plenty of slip twixt the cup and lip:

FROM DRUDGE....

New LA TIMES Poll:
Kerry hurt by Swift Boat attacks, Bush ahead 49% -46% for the first time this year, Bush takes 15% of all Democrats, 20% of 'conservative/moderate' Democrats while Kerry takes 3% of Republicans...

I am typically a one-issue voter, I vote MY 2nd amendment.  I believe the Bill of Rights were recognized by our founding fathers as given to us by God, and so cannot be taken away by man.

Since President Bush has been in office I have been able to breathe a little more freely and have expanded some of my extra time activities to include (besides shooting) ham radio, ATVing with a club, group motorcycle riding, etc.  If Kerry is elected, I will curtail these 'extra' activities and will concentrate my time, energy, and money toward supporting organizations that protect our second amendment rights.

Also, if Kerry is elected I will conclude that we have a VERY short window of time in which to purchase our flavor of semiautos and I will concentrate on new acquisitions to the exclusion of everything else.

Edited for the spelling nazis, I'm sure I overlooked something.

I don't know for sure what I'd do but it will be tempting to act like the Dems.  If terrorists hit us again, "Blame Kerry!".  Have the TV commerials all set to run--Kerry knew, Kerry lied, Kerry is a mass-murderer, Kerry is friends with the Arabs, etc.  Wave the bloody flag, and if Kerry tries to retaliate then block his ability to wage successful war.

To really be a Dem we'd have to undermine the morale of our troops (thru movies, blocking pay raises, etc.) and at the same time let terrorists out of jails and make it hard to interogate them (Gitmo is Kerry's Auschwitz etc.).

Dems usually pioneer the political dirty tricks, like using Sex Harassment on Judge Thomas, or Gerry-mandering Congressional Districts, and blocking judicial appointees, but their tactics end up being taken by the GOP who often times out-do the Dems.

We'll keep on doing the best we can.  The political environment has swayed back and forth and will continue to.  It's up to us to provide some stability.

Also, if we have enough of a majority in both houses of Congress, it would hamstring emasculate Kerry as POTUS.

IF Kerry gets elected:

Imagine the shitstorm when we get socialized medicine.  People will vote for that garbage because they think that they will be able to go down to the hospital, pay nothing, and get seen right away.

Unfortunately, socialized medicine is notoriously inefficient.  Sure, getting medical attention right now is expensive, but you can GET it within a reasonable time frame.  When the Brits went to socialized healthcare, people were having to wait two weeks for critical surgery that would be done in the United States the same day.

Imagine the tax increase that will be needed to fund the healthcare of the entire population.  Right now that expense is shouldered by the insured along with the private insurance companies.

If sKerry gets elected we all might have to deal with this.  Yes insurance is freakin expensive, but if I am sick or hurt I want to get treated now, not later, and I am willing to pay for it.

Damn liberals.  They always bitch and moan about how things aren't perfect, but rarely consider the ramifications of the course of action they endorse.

I volunteered to work for the Republican Party.  I will probably get stuck in a phone bank or putting out signs.  But like the woman who peed in the sea said: "Every little bit helps."  I am glad to whatever I can to try and prevent the clusterfuck that is John F'n Kerry.

Sorry about the rant.

That would truly be a nightmare.  The military would be gutted and we'd have to pull our people out of Iraq and Afghanistan.  The governments would fall and the Taliban and the Baath party would be back in business.

If I had any guns, which I don't since they're so dangerous, I'd stock up like crazy between now and January 20th.  Just because the AWB is set to go away on the 13th doesn't mean it won't be replaced the next year or even the next month by a more restrictive law that calls for confiscation.  Our taxes would go through the roof to pay for Kerry's socialist utopia.  Of course he'd be just fine and dandy with his wife's money.  That's comforting.  At least he wouldn't have to suffer.

Then we'd all just have to carry on and hope for a better future.  Just like we had to do when clinton was president.

Simple.  It will be a Democrat reaction.  "He is not my president."  Yes, I shall ignore him and any nonsense he comes up with.  Many of the liberals who support him would ask how the German people could support Hitler, and would suggest they should have ignored him.  So, I shall do likewise.  I do not bother people, and do not go out and stick up 7-11's or little old ladies getting their Social Security cash at ATM's.  I demand I be left alone.  I shall take whatever action necessary to prevent someone from bothering me for no legitimate reason.   Any sycophants or minions who wish to throw their weight around may wish to contemplate the previous sentence.  Kerry does not exist for me.  He can stay in his shithole Massachusetts (Is John Adams turning in his grave) or Washington (better as a swamp).

Ok I have allready started work on it.  I am not a church goin man but I have always prayed,  not selfish prayers just for family and friends.  Now I pray for all of us, every night I ask the lord not to let that bastard into the Whitehouse.

Secondly I know Texas is solid but still I talk to people that come in my shop, sometimes a little too much.  I try to just say a little something, plus I have pictures pasted to my counter and a sticker on my truck.

Third working on friends in Minnesota and New Mexico,  I know they are dems, trying to guide them without losing them as friends.  I know Minnesota is for sure in the enemy camp.

How else should I  fight the bastards?

In the unlikely event that Kerry wins, we'll have to make sure that he feels the full opposition
of a hostile Congress:

Resign yourself to contribute to the NRA-ILA 20 bucks a month would be a good start-encourage others to do the same.

Help get Pro-gun legislators elected- donate your time and $$$...

I think along the same lines as those who already mentioned what they did while BealzaBill Klintoon was in office. Keep my head low and hold on.

The more intense question in my head right now is, WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN IF GWB WINS?

Or to mirror this thread topic, HOW WILL THEY LIVE WITH GWB AS POTUSA?

I've voiced my op that THEY are emotionally insane and violent. I have my thoughts on what the answer to THAT question is...
