No no no, you can't drift a WRX, it's AWD.  That would be the 240SX forum.

Those are pretty funny and many are quite accurate!

The LS1 V-8s that GM put in the Vettes from '97-'04 and in the F-Bodies from '98-'02 are known for oil consumption problems.  They still run like the proverbial raped ape, though.

Actually,  they fixed the piston slap and oil consumption problems in 2002 with a new piston ring setup.  My '99 Camaro SS had some Slap and burned a quart in 3000 miles.  My '04 Corvette burns none and has no slap.

348hp / 361tq as measured on a dynojet, Stock LS1 internals with Halltech intake setup, LG Headers and Z06 Titanium Exhaust.

Yep,and because it has no distributor,somebody over at Miata.net is putting an LS1 out of a Vette into a Miata.Alot of punch for a 2k lbs. car.

yep.  My 02 Z28 burns no oil.  heads/cam with no problems at all.  BTW, how do you fit an AR into a vette?  passanger seat?

Used to hang out at LS1.com (same username) quite a bit back when I had my '02 SS from 11/01-07/03.  I know that's what they said but I found that mine used about 0.5 qt per 2000 miles.  I tried various brands of 10W-30 sythetic but it never went away.

Loudmouth exhaust, lid, Lou's short stick, BMR rear swaybar, SLP strut tower brace, SLP bolt-on subframe connectors, BMR panhard rod, 180 deg t-stat, fan switch, TR-55 plugs, CAGS delete....she was fun to drive!

Too many tickets, though.

Actually, I've gotten some very good info/advice over the years at miata.net - but I would never "hang out" there like I do here (not much in the way of non-Miata discussion).
