Medal of Honor is a must. Syphon filter is really good and I like the Tomb Raider series. A cheap one I picked up the other day is Ranger Elite. Short, but good.

Another vote for Grand Turismo, 1 and 2. Tekken 3 is good, I liked Metal Gear Solid as well.
Does your friend know that he can use the PS1 games on the PS2? Games, controllers, and mem. cards (for PS1 games) all work. Anyway, if you ever upgrade to a PS2 keep your games and mem. cards because you can still use them. |

Spent a gazillion hours playing QuakeII & Gran TurismoII...
The only 2 games I play anymore... QuakeII is FULL of AWESOME weapons... |
