This about sums up the recoil generated by the .458 SOCOM in the Tromix M16 upper.  This guy fired a few bursts through a Tromix .458 SOCOM rifle at the Missouri machine gun shoot on Saturday.

It is quite invigorating to shoot.

The .458 SOCOM is a definate purchase for me in the near future.  Could you post some pictures of it in action for me to drool over?

Tony,

Quick, make up a bunch of shirts like this.  Way cooler than a little gator or whatever the Flavor of the Month is in shirt icons.
If you can't do this, how about lawn gnomes shooting AR's?

The pics of the full auto action shots were taken on a conventional camera, so I will have to get them developed before I can scan and post them.  I fired the thing quite a bit in full auto and it pretty much, knocked the crap out of me.  I can keep the barrel horizontal, but my shoulder ends up getting bruised up quite a bit.....but that just makes it that much more enjoyable to shoot.  Truly, an invigorating shooting experience...........

Tony...

Did you guys add any weight to the guns to take away some of the "bite"???

Also, what calibers are compatible with conventional USGI .223 30 rd mags ??

I was also wondering that dragracerart.  Also, can the .458 SOCOM and .475 TREMOR rounds fit in the Beta C Mag?

I don't add any weight to the guns other than using a fairly heavy .935" diameter barrel.  Both the .458 SOCOM and the .475 TREMOR use standard .223 magazines.  All of the other Sledgehammer calibers use modified .223 mags.  The Beta C magazine will not work, but you should be able to get about 32 rounds in one of those MGW snail type drums that curl up on one side of the receiver.
