Anyone try this stuff in 168gr or 175gr?  If so, how is it?

Also is $14 for a box of 20 a fair price during these times?

I haven't tried the .308, but as a general thing I've had very good luck with Prvi Partizan ammunition.  I just ordered some 6.5x55 and 7.5x55 Prvi from AIM.  If you shoot a K31 and can't get your hands on GP11, the Prvi shoots just as well, at least it does for me.

Well what's a fair price then?

Asking 'What's a fair price for ammo?' nowadays is nearly impossible to answer.

I have nearly 5000 rounds of SA 7.62NATO in Battle Packs.  I'm sure I could list it at $0.45/round and sell it all within a day.  But, to me, that's a crazy price for 25 yo surplus ammo.

Someone will pay $14/20, so I guess it's a 'fair' price.

It's a fair price. I just got 400 rounds of it from AIM and I've got another 400 (I think...) from another source.

I've heard good stuf about it and the price is more than fair if it's even remotely "match" quality.

Privi, in general, has a sterling rep.

the last time Widener's had it in, at least 10,000 rounds disappeared in hours at that price.

AIM has Wolf .308 for ~$8/box

Thanks, but I'm actually looking for match ammo (or something close to it) in 168 or 175gr that can give me good accuracy out to 600 yards.

Historical data from Widener's order dated 5/22/08

PPU168H PRVI 308 168GR HPBT MATCH AMMUNTION $14.50/20 or $350.00/500 Qty: 25 Unit Price: $13.00

It's good ammo with an occasional flier.

It's not FGMM, but not priced like it either.

Found much lately? If it's available, get it if you can.

I'd buy it for that if I didn't already have a stash of it, plus I reload also. It's good brass, boxer primed, and no primer crimp if you reload.

Don't know about the 175 grain stuff. I was gonna try some but found an M1A and bought 5 cases of Lithuanian instead, then a case of 45, then a case of M193, then a case of LE buckshot... then... well you see how it works.

So get it while you can.

Well I bought 400 rounds of the 175gr FMJ match.  I would have preferred the 168gr HP match, but at this stage in the game I guess I can’t be too picky.

Well I just learned that 175gr bullets suck in .308's with 1:12 twist rates so I canceled my order.

Now I'll have to search for some 168gr rounds. The Seinfeld phrase of "good luck alllll that" comes to mind.
