Come on it's under $10 a box.
A hella deal. 374 left not going as fast as .223 |
Holy shit! That is more than I sold my Remington GBs for earlier this month!
Center X is good match grade ammo, a step above the SK Std+/Wolf that is generally well regarded. It is not blasting ammo.
Quoted: Kinda pricey. It's match ammo. This is not what you take a brick of to turn into 223 jackets and noise.
I don't shoot that stuff, but that isn't a bad price on it at all. That is pretty popular match .22 ammo.

Holy shit this is out of control. Why? How much was Lapua .22 before the craziness? |
Quoted: Too rich for my blood Yep. I have nothing that will appreciate the quality of the ammo, either. No anchutsz rifles in my home.

I still have enough Federal and CCI to dive into like Scrooge McDuck, so no thanks.
Thats the price I was paying per round for 9mm before all this. People are nuts, anyone crazy enough to pay $9.95 like this for a box of 50 .22's shouldn't have a gun...I can understand the need for match grade ammo but I guarantee you thats not why most people are buying it at the rate they are.

Wish people would stop buying this crap at inflated prices.... The price will never come down if everyone continues to snatch it up as soon as it becomes available. I'll pass.

It's not- that is ammo used by people that like to pop 1/4 inch squares at 100+ yards with overbuilt match rifles. Or at least it used to be . I didn't buy any though- the more ammo that makes it into the hands of noobs the less uptight they'll be. A couple more slow boats from Europe and I might even go to the range again. |
I don't think people care for match ammo or not if they can't find anything anywhere else.
Down to 105 boxes. ETA Now at 78 in the time it took to type my post |

Missed it! See, this is what I get for looking away from arfcom for 30 minutes!

I think I can resist the temptation. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a18/MakarovshooterinAZ/100_1731_zps5e25439e.jpg I sure as hell can't! It is excellent match ammo, my CZ # 4 ( 1959 military match rifle ) just loves that stuff. So did my No 8 Mk I |
This is beyond bonkers... is plinking grade stuff just completely impossible to find? I mean it is usaully 1/3 the cost of the match grade... I remember paying $2.50/$3.00 for a box of 50 a while back for federal plinking ammo.

In before more dipshits that don't realize it's match ammo. No shit. Good lord, Lapuas different match variations have been $10- $20 a box of 50 for a long time just like Eley and RWS. For the record, I have rifles that justify the cost of good ammo. Some of you guys would bitch if Black Hills 69 or 77 grain .223 popped up for a buck a round |

Was in Green Acres today to get powder. Heard the clerk tell a guy "Yeah the lowest I could go for that is $99 a box" talking about a pile of 530 round bricks of .22LR that he went on to say was "so hard to come by." The customer said hell no. I went on to ask how much they had on their cheapest 9mm (of which they had a full shelf of all types). Guy says "well you're looking at about $39.95." I said "uh..what about the Tula?" to which he replied "Lowest I could go is $35..I just can't get any.." as we both look at 20+ boxes of 9mm...I said no thanks and bought my pound of powder...wish they weren't the only game in town for it.

I just bought a few bricks of that for $88/ea for our Regional Championships last weekend. So $100/brick, while pricey, isn't completely nuts.
BTW, Center-X is pretty top-of-the-line match ammo for us peons... |
