I got one of these at an estate sale. I knew nothing about air guns. I have been very impressed with it and the upgrades for it.

Beeman R9 ...Buy once... cry once.
I have a RWS 34 177cal and it just doesn't shoot as well as my 20 cal R9. Check out pawnshops & gunshops for used ones, I got my R9 deluxe package for $85..brand new it would have been $650

Practically all of todays airguns need to be "tuned" to get the best out of them.
The RWS is a good place to start. Beemans are nice but very expensive. Top of the line IMO is the R-1. The R-9 would be 2nd for me. Pyramid is about the best site to browse for AGs. GD |

RWS Model 48. I have a pair in .22 and .25 calibers. In the past 20 years, they have killed more squirrels, rabbits, coons and opossums than any other gun I own. If it's less than 25yds away, I use the RWS everytime and leave the .22LR in the safe.
